Project objectives

The purpose of this project is to strengthen the relationship between education institutions, research organizations and industrial partners in the area of the preparation of advanced materials (nanomaterials) and nanotechnology surface modification of materials. The aim is to increase competitiveness and competence of educational institutions by creating a platform for communication among these institutions and industrial partners to facilitate the efficient supply and transmission of information, including timely and effective responses of these institutions, in the field of the latest scientific and technological knowledge on the one hand and development requirements in the current application sphere on the other side.

The tool for achieving this goal will be to estabilished educational, information and contact platform that will connect the academic activities and business. This platform has two parts. The first is Contact center NANOcontact estabilished on the Department of Physical Electronics, Faculty of Science, Masaryk University, and the information and communication portal NANOsurfing available via the Internet.

The platform enables academic and R&D staff, especially staff at MU, University of West Bohemia in Plzen and Technical University of Liberec, increase their knowledge in areas of mutual cooperation, knowledge transfer and technology transfer. It will also to gain access for innovative companies in the region and throughout the Czech Republic to information about modern nanotechnology treatment and results of scientific research completed by the synergy of R&D projects, establishing contacts with the academic community and application and their use to increase their competitiveness. The project also allows students of Physics and management, and student of nanotechnologyat MU related contact with the staff of successful innovative firms and industrial research institutes in the Republic and abroad and teach them to establish and develop cooperation between the academic sector and industry.
